As Americans we need to wake up and pay attention to the dealings of our ever-growing government. I realize that all of you will not share my opinions. For this I make no apology. We are losing our beloved country and I feel I must do S.O.M.E.T.H.I.N.G. This is MY attempt to do just that.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comBlogger55125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9171720617509610681.post-43152304112830639202011-06-17T06:41:00.000-07:002011-06-17T06:41:43.133-07:00Riddle of the Day!

They were found guilty of passing secrets to the Soviets regarding America's nuclear bomb. It was big news at that time and the story is still controversial. Jump forward to the year 2010. The person now giving away America's secrets (not even selling them) is sitting in the White House. Thanks to Wikileaks we know that Obama gave the Soviets sensitive information regarding Britain's nuclear arms program--much of which is built right here in the United States. Why would he do this? In order to obtain their compliance with the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START). It was a case of "I'll show you mine, if you'll show me yours." We, and our best ally--England, lost ground. And what did the Soviets lose? Absolutely nothing. Not to mention--the rest of the world now knows if you do business with the United States they'll sell you out at the drop of a hat! When he arrived at the White House he removed the bust of Winston Churchill which has sat in the oval office for over 60 years. He gave it back to England---the bust now sits in the British Embassy in Washington D.C. What arrogance! That gift was given to the American people--he had no right to return it! Obama snubbed the Prime Minister of England when he came to this country--but invited Mexican President Calderon to lecture Congress regarding our border policy! If you want to understand what drive this president's mindset I highly recommend The Roots of Obama's Rage written by Dinesh D'Souza.

Here's a big one! How do you feel about your tax dollars going to pay for irresponsibility in state governments? The minute the state of California elected the same "big spending, anything goes, tree-hugging environmentalists . . . ," I fired off an email to my representatives encouraging them to dig in their heels and vote NO to bailing out said states! Well, Republican Senator Thune (South Dakota) has a bill before the Senate to avoid doing just that! His thinking, which is right on the money, drops all the harmful tax increases, and the costly $24 billion state bailouts from the Baucus bill.

So--you pay your taxes--state and federal--your state practices "sound" financial principles, but YOU are on the hook to those states such as CA, RI, & CT, who have spent their way into a deep hole. At the moment, "bankruptcy" for state governments is illegal, but Washington, with all it's great collective brain, is discussing how to legalize this policy. Scary isn't it? If you overspend--they take your home. The government overspends and everyone else pays the price!

I encourage you to write or phone your representatives and encourage them to vote for the Thune amendment. Curious where your state sits financially? The following link provides that information. Call the boys!

#1 The United States has lost approximately 42,400 factories since 2001. About 75 percent of those factories employed over 500 people when they were still in operation.
#2 Dell Inc., one of America ’s largest manufacturers of computers, has announced plans to dramatically expand its operations in China with an investment of over $100 billion over the next decade.
#3 Dell has announced that it will be closing its last large U.S. manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem , North Carolina in November. Approximately 900 jobs will be lost.
#4 In 2008, 1.2 billion cell phones were sold worldwide. So how many of them were manufactured inside the United States ? Zero.
#5 According to a new study conducted by the Economic Policy Institute, if the U.S. trade deficit with China continues to increase at its current rate, the U.S. economy will lose over half a million jobs this year alone.
#6 As of the end of July, the U.S. trade deficit with China had risen 18 percent compared to the same time period a year ago.
#7 The United States has lost a total of about 5.5 million manufacturing jobs since October 2000.
#8 According to Tax Notes, between 1999 and 2008 employment at the foreign affiliates of U.S. parent companies increased an astounding 30 percent to 10.1 million. During that exact same time period, U.S. employment at American multinational corporations declined 8 percent to 21.1 million.
#9 In 1959, manufacturing represented 28 percent of U.S. economic output. In 2008, it represented 11.5 percent.
#10 Ford Motor Company recently announced the closure of a factory that produces the Ford Ranger in St. Paul , Minnesota . Approximately 750 good paying middle class jobs are going to be lost because making Ford Rangers in Minnesota does not fit in with Ford's new "global" manufacturing strategy.
#11 As of the end of 2009, less than 12 million Americans worked in manufacturing. The last time less than 12 million Americans were employed in manufacturing was in 1941.
#12 In the United States today, consumption accounts for 70 percent of GDP. Of this 70 percent, over half is spent on services.
#13 The United States has lost a whopping 32 percent of its manufacturing jobs since the year 2000.
#14 In 2001, the United States ranked fourth in the world in per capita broadband Internet use. Today it ranks 15th.
#15 Manufacturing employment in the U.S. computer industry is actually lower in 2010 than it was in 1975.
#16 Printed circuit boards are used in tens of thousands of different products. Asia now produces 84 percent of them worldwide.
#17 The United States spends approximately $3.90 on Chinese goods for every $1 that the Chinese spend on goods from the United States .
#18 One prominent economist is projecting that the Chinese economy will be three times larger than the U.S. economy by the year 2040.
#19 The U.S. Census Bureau says that 43.6 million Americans are now living in poverty; and according to them, that is the highest number of poor Americans in the 51 years that records have been kept.

So how many tens of thousands more factories do we need to lose before we do something about it?
How many millions more Americans are going to become unemployed before we all admit that we have a very, very serious problem on our hands?
How many more trillions of dollars are going to leave the country before we realize that we are losing wealth at a pace that is killing our economy?
How many once great manufacturing cities are going to become rotting war zones like Detroit before we understand that we are committing national economic suicide?
The deindustrialization of America is a national crisis. It needs to be treated like one.
Foreign governments already own a good portion of American Real Estate and businesses. What's it going to be like in 10 yrs?

Wow--I wish I was on Obama's "nice" list. But you don't get there just by being "nice"--he wants your $$$. Did you know that since the Obama Healthcare monstrosity has passed, there have been more than 790 "waivers" that have been approved through the Department of Health and Human Services. These exemptions allow people or businesses to "opt out" (at least for the time being) of Obamacare. Now isn't Obama just the most generous man on earth? The interesting thing about these waivers is that many of them have been granted to labor unions. Unions? Why unions? Well, I suppose that it's because the labor unions contributed bushels of money to get this con-man elected. Lets see . . .

The Teamsters Union, which hailed Obama last March for “enacting historic health care reform, providing health insurance to millions of Americans who don’t have it and controlling costs for millions more who do,” obtained waivers for 17 different locals.
The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW), which celebrated the passage of Obamacare as “an achievement that will rank among the highest in our national experience,” secured waivers for 28 different affiliates.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers — which exulted after the health care law’s passage that “finally, affordable and comprehensive health care coverage will be available for millions of working Americans” — saw eight of its affiliates win shelter from the Obamacare wrecking ball.
The Communications Workers of America, which sent its workers to lobby for Obamacare on Capitol Hill as part of the left-wing billionaire George Soros-funded Health Care for America Now front group, snagged a waiver that will spare a hefty 19,000 of its members from the onerous federal mandate.

The Service Employees International Union, which poured $60 million into Democratic/Obama coffers in 2008 and millions more into the campaign for the federal health care takeover, added four new affiliates to the waiver list: SEIU Local 2000 Health and Welfare Fund, representing 161 enrollees; North Health Benefit Fund, representing 7,020 enrollees; SEIU Local 300, Civil Service Forum Employees Welfare Fund, representing 2,000 enrollees; and SEIU Health & Welfare Fund, representing 1,620 enrollees. That’s in addition to three other previous SEIU waiver winners: Local 25 SEIU in Chicago with 31,000 enrollees; Local 1199 SEIU Greater New York Benefit Fund with 4,544 enrollees; and SEIU Local 1 Cleveland Welfare Fund with 520 enrollees. This brings the total number of Obamacare-promoting SEIU Obamacare refugees to an estimated 45,000 workers represented by seven SEIU locals.

Are you on the list?

A real Chinese Patriot

If you've been paying attention to the news you know that we recently *honored* the president of China with a state dinner at the White House. Since Obama, our buffoon of a president, is so determined to "suck up" to all the countries of the world (especially Communist countries), he invited the renowned pianist Lang Lang to perform for the event. Lang Lang performed beautifully--IF you are Chinese. Apparently he played the song "My Motherland", a song from the well known Chinese movie "Battle of Shangganting Mountain". Sounds innocent enough until understand the movie. Its a movie made in 1952 where Chinese forces held off a sustained attack from the Americans and South Koreans during the Korean War. In the movie the American soldiers are referred to as "jackals". Apparently this film is so well known that most of China is laughing at the United States and bloggers in China are having a hay-day. Quote: “It’s deeply meaningful to play this in the United States,” said one forum post, “but I don’t know if the Americans can understand? Ha ha.”
It's no surprise that the President of China sees our country as weakening (morally, economically, defensively) and now is the time for him to make his move into the #1 position of a world superpower. And who is helping him? Our ever-apologetic president Barrack Obama. Who arranged for this *artist* to play? None other than our own Mr. B. And who is in the audience applauding for this great Chinese patriot? Barrack Obama. Lang Lang insists he chose the piece only for its beauty. No one in China or in the press is buying it. Neither am I! Thanks Mr Obama--it will take centuries to "undo" your first two years in the oval office.
#6 Back in 1970, 25 percent of all jobs in the United States were manufacturing jobs. Today, only 9 percent of the jobs in the United States are manufacturing jobs, which is believed to be a new record low.
#7 The number of Americans working part-time jobs "for economic reasons" was the highest it has been in at least five decades during 2010.
#8 The number of American workers that are so discouraged that they have given up searching for work reached an all-time high near the end of 2010.
#9 Government spending continues to set new all-time records. In fact, at the moment the U.S. government is spending approximately 6.85 million dollars every single minute.
#10 The number of Americans on food stamps surpassed 43 million by the end of 2010.
#11 The number of Americans on Medicaid surpassed 50 million for the first time ever in 2010.
#12 The U.S. Census Bureau originally announced that 43.6 million Americans are now living in poverty** and according to them that was the highest number of Americans living in poverty that they had ever recorded in 51 years of record-keeping. But now the Census Bureau says that they miscalculated and that the real number of poor Americans is actually 47.8 million.
#13 According to the FDIC, 157 banks failed during 2010. That was the highest number of bank failures that the United States has experienced in any single year during the past decade.
#14 The Federal Reserve brought in a record $80.9 billion in profits during 2010. They returned $78.4 billion of that to the U.S. Treasury, but the real story is that thanks to the Federal Reserve's continual debasement of our currency, the U.S. dollar was worth less in 2010 than it ever had been before.
#15 It is projected that the major financial firms on Wall Street will pay out an all-time record of $144 billion in compensation for 2010.
#16 Americans now owe more than $881 billion on student loans, which is a new all-time record.
#17 In July, sales of new homes in the United States declined to the lowest level ever recorded.
#18 According to Zillow, U.S. housing prices have now declined a whopping 26 percent since their peak in June 2006. Amazingly, this is even farther than house prices fell during the Great Depression.
#19 State and local government debt reached at an all-time record of 22 percent of U.S. GDP during 2010.
#20 The U.S. national debt has surpassed the 14 trillion dollar mark for the first time ever and it is being projected that it will soar well past 15 trillion during 2011.

**Poverty in America now constitutes air conditioning and a big screen TV.
So how did you do in 2010? I suppose if you have a job and you're still in your home you're doing exceptionally well. But do you still want "business as usual" in Washington? Pay attention voters! If you're interested you can read the entire article at:
But we have forgotten God.
We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined in the deceitfulness of our hearts that all these blessings were produced by success.
We have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of Redeeming Grace, too proud to pray to that God who made us. It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins and to pray for clemency and forgiveness."

I'll bet if it's happening in California it's happening other places as well. Let's see . . . California pays their small town government employees exorbitant amounts--like nearly $800,000.00 to be mayor of the small town of Bell, CA. Hmmm, Mayor Rizzo is now up on criminal charges (he's still eligible for his $976,771 annual retirement benefits). But this one takes the cake: Welfare recipients in California are able to scan their welfare cards in ATM machines in casinos, strip clubs, and state licensed poker rooms. Governor Schwarzenegger is shocked by this "reprehensible behavior" and has vowed to correct the problem. Just keep this in mind when California comes crying to the rest of the country for their share of bail out money. (My apologies to all the good people who live in CA!) By the way--do you know what your mayor and superintendent draw as a salary? You might want to look into it! With unemployment at nearly 10%, the economy in the toilet, and our national debt skyrocketing, the Democrats spent their last few hours as the reigning power passing legislation near and dear to their hearts. The following bills were voted on this past week:

Giving illegal aliens legal status (Dream Act--failed)

Agreeing with our *friends* the Russians, (Start--strategic arms reduction treaty) that we will reduce our nuclear capacity--if THEY will. (Who believes that???)

Gay rights--dissolving the military's policy on "Don't Ask--Don't Tell" (passed)

Omnibus Bill--a 1.1 TRILLION dollar "porkfest" (did not make it up for a vote--but they tried)

Voted (I love this one) to keep the government "funded" through February. There had been talk of the collapse of the government if they didn't vote on this one. That ought to give you a warm fuzzy!

Voted to extend the Bush tax cuts for another two years--in my opinion, the only bill worth the vote.

Dems knew they would have a greatly diminished vote for the second half of Obama's presidency and worked feverishly to pass these bills in order to maintain their solid "minority" base. Good riddance I say! The sooner this buffoon is out of the White House the better for the nation.

Keep up the good work folks. We have to keep the pressure on, so Congress doesn't backslide. We've got to watch 'em like a hawk. Now you may do the "Dance of Joy"--until tomorrow when they'll be back to work creating some other type of chaos for the rest of the country.

The Dream Act is a bill written with the intention of allowing "illegals" who have been in this country for years, to obtain rights that are usually held only for this country's citizens. This affects illegals under the age of 30, who were brought to this country by their parents before they were 16 years old. They are required to fulfill at least 2 years of college or serve in our military--this gives them legal status in the United States. The liberals claim that an "educated population" would be healthier for our economy. What economy? We already have nearly 10% unemployment (granted, some of that unemployment is BY CHOICE--we are now offering unemployment benefits for another 13 MONTHS--once this is exhausted, claimants may move into the national program--rather than state--wonderful, isn't it??? But that's another story!) So, how do you feel about the dream act? Another burden or a blessing to our battered, beloved country? The following are links to more information, pro & con, for this bill.
S 510 has already passed the senate and is heading for the House of Representatives. S510 fails on moral, social, economic, political, constitutional, and human survival grounds.
1. It puts all US food and all US farms under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, in the event of contamination or an ill-defined emergency (who decides what constitutes a real emergency?)
2. It would end US sovereignty over its own food supply by insisting on compliance with the WTO, thus threatening national security. It would end the Uruguay Round Agreement Act of 1994, which put US sovereignty and US law under perfect protection. Instead, S 510 says:
COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS.
Nothing in this Act (or an amendment made by this Act) shall be construed in a manner inconsistent with the agreement establishing the World Trade Organization or any other treaty or international agreement to which the United States is a party.
3. It would allow the government, under Maritime Law, to define the introduction of any food into commerce (even direct sales between individuals) as smuggling into “the United States.” Since under that law, the US is a corporate entity and not a location, “entry of food into the US” covers food produced anywhere within the land mass of this country and “entering into” it by virtue of being produced. Say goodbye to "farmer's" markets!
4. It imposes Codex Alimentarius on the US, a global system of control over food.
5. It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US, putting control of seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other multinationals, threatening US security. See Seeds – How to criminalize them, for more details.
6. It includes NAIS, an animal traceability program that threatens all small farmers and ranchers raising animals. The UN is participating through the WHO, FAO, WTO, and World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) in allowing mass slaughter of even heritage breeds of animals and without proof of disease. Biodiversity in farm animals is being wiped out to substitute genetically engineered animals on which corporations hold patents. Animal diseases can be falsely declared. S 510 includes the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), despite its corrupt involvement in the H1N1 scandal, which is now said to have been concocted by the corporations.
Fresh food that lasts from eFoods Direct (Ad)
7. It extends a failed and destructive HACCP to all food, thus threatening to do to all local food production and farming what HACCP did to meat production – put it in corporate hands and worsen food safety.
8. It deconstructs what is left of the American economy. It takes agriculture and food, which are the cornerstone of all economies, out of the hands of the citizenry, and puts them under the total control of multinational corporations influencing the UN, WHO, FAO and WTO, with HHS, and CDC, acting as agents, with Homeland Security as the enforcer. The chance to rebuild the economy based on farming, ranching, gardens, food production, natural health, and all the jobs, tools and connected occupations would be eliminated.
9. It would allow the government to mandate antibiotics, hormones, slaughterhouse waste, pesticides and GMOs. This would industrialize every farm in the US, eliminate local organic farming, greatly increase global warming from increased use of oil-based products and long-distance delivery of foods, and make food even more unsafe. The five items listed — the Five Pillars of Food Safety — are precisely the items in the food supply which are the primary source of its danger.
10. It uses food crimes as the entry into police state power and control. The bill postpones defining all the regulations to be imposed; postpones defining crimes to be punished, postpones defining penalties to be applied. It removes fundamental constitutional protections from all citizens in the country, making them subject to a corporate tribunal with unlimited power and penalties, and without judicial review. It is (similar to C-6 in Canada) the end of Rule of Law in the U

So, if you want to raise a garden, go to the Farmer's Market, store seeds, or grow your own meat--better do it now before our blessed government turns the jobs over to the World Trade Organization and we have to get our gardening seeds from the Chinese!
I encourage you to write to your Congresssmen/Women and let them know we will not allow our tax dollars to be spent in such and insulting and despicable way. DO IT TODAY! BTW: Please refer to my previous posting on communism--"I Think They've Been Very Successful . . ." A few of their main goals (way back in the 60's) were:

Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

I must add here that it sickens me to post this photo with my blog entry. But until you see it--you won't be compelled to stand against such filth. Now DO IT!
I have also contacted the Smithsonian personally and complained about the exhibit. They are recommending you send your complaints to the following email address:

What is the Fairness Doctrine? Basically it was a law passed in 1949 requiring the holders of broadcast licenses to present both sides of any controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was, in the Commission's view, honest, equitable and balanced. The fairness doctrine has been eliminated since many claimed it violated free speech rights--guaranteed by the First Amendment. Think about this administration . . . there are no limits. So, if we have a program on heterosexuality--we must also have one on homosexuality. Get the picture?

The point: If Mark Lloyd has his way, each radio/television station will be required to have as many liberal programs as conservative. If networks do not provide such programming they will be subject to fines and/or loss of licensing. Ever hear of supply and demand? If those programs were in demand--they'd have them on the air already. Dahhh! Check the ratings of the very toxic MSNBC. Those guys are bitter! And while you're at it . . . "google" Mark Lloyd and his quotes. He thinks Hugo Chavez is a genius.
