Democratic Agenda

With all the internal problems within our country, its difficult to understand the priorities of our *beloved* Democrats in Congress.  With unemployment at nearly 10%, the economy in the toilet, and our national debt skyrocketing, the Democrats spent their last few hours as the reigning power passing legislation near and dear to their hearts.  The following bills were voted on this past week:

  • Giving illegal aliens legal status (Dream Act--failed)
  • Agreeing with our *friends* the Russians, (Start--strategic arms reduction treaty) that we will reduce our nuclear capacity--if THEY will.  (Who believes that???)
  • Gay rights--dissolving the military's policy on "Don't Ask--Don't Tell" (passed)
  • Omnibus Bill--a 1.1 TRILLION dollar "porkfest" (did not make it up for a vote--but they tried)
  • Voted (I love this one) to keep the government "funded" through February.  There had been talk of the collapse of the government if they didn't vote on this one.  That ought to give you a warm fuzzy!
  • Voted to extend the Bush tax cuts for another two years--in my opinion, the only bill worth the vote.
Dems knew they would have a greatly diminished vote for the second half of Obama's presidency and worked feverishly to pass these bills in order to maintain their solid "minority" base.  Good riddance I say!  The sooner this buffoon is out of the White House the better for the nation.

P.S.  Have you noticed the U.S. Treasury is now printing coins that have "In God We Trust" written on the sides of the coins rather than on the coin itself?  Point being:  Once the phrase "wears off" it's gone for good.  See any trend there?

WE WON!

Senator Harry Reid has withdrawn the Omnibus Bill which the Dem's were so keen on passing.  Keep up the good work folks.  We have to keep the pressure on, so Congress doesn't backslide.  We've got to watch 'em like a hawk.  Now you may do the "Dance of Joy"--until tomorrow when they'll be back to work creating some other type of chaos for the rest of the country.  Enjoy the victory!

THE GREAT AMERICAN SWINDLE!

Cut the FAT!
No doubt, this Congress will go down in history as The Folks Who Perpetrated The Great American Swindle. Thought you were finished with nonsense out of Washington? Think again. They're going to steal your money whether you like it or not! The Omnibus--a nearly 2,000 page bill--is filled with government waste, and Congress thinks YOU are going to pay for it. If passed, this bill will cost approximately 1.1 TRILLION DOLLARS (approx. 572 MILLION per page)  The time is NOW--you HAVE to call or email your senators and encourage them to vote this bill down.  The Democrats are desperate to shove this bill through before the end of the year.  Unfortunately, a few Republicans are also voting in favor of the bill.  Below are a few of the items in the bill.  Do you want to fund these projects with your hard earned money?

Congressman Anthony Weiner (aptly named) of New York

Keep your eye on this guy--he probably represents everything you DON'T want for America. He's loud, he's angry, and he's everywhere! He thinks YOUR money belongs to the U.S. Congress. . . err, the United States of America. He's the face of the democractic party--arrogant and angry. He's posturing himself to run for the mayor of New York City. Better to have him there than in Congress! Check it out.

Government Controlled Media!

Would You Trust This Man?
The senior Democrat on the Federal Communications Commission  (FCC) Michael Copps wants to hold TV broadcasters to higher standards by requiring local programming to pass a test every four years to keep operating on the nation’s airwaves.
If TV broadcasters do not meet the proposed standards (who sets the standards?  The government!), they could risk losing their licenses to operate on air. The proposal, put forth by Commissioner Michael Copps, has alarmed the media industry, put them on the defensive and caught the eye of Republican lawmakers, who worry that the FCC wants to dictate the content of over-the-air TV programming.
His ideas got the attention of Republican lawmakers, including Rep. Joe Barton of Texas, a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees the media industry. In a letter to Copps this week, Barton wrote, “I hope that you do not mean to suggest that it is the job of the federal government, through the Federal Communications Commission, to determine the content that is available for Americans to consume.”
Allowing the federal government to have an oversize role in the composition of the media “is unwise policy and raises serious questions of constitutionality,” Barton said.
In an interview with POLITICO, Copps said his proposed “public value test” is designed to ensure that broadcasters are meeting the needs of the communities they serve rather than simply chasing ratings. He also said he wants to increase resources going to investigative reporting and civic news (Government funded new?  No conflict of interest there.)
“Obviously, you don’t want to get involved in defining content,” Copps said. “I see this as a down payment to substantive media reform. I wanted to jump-start a conversation."

Dream Act Comes Up for a Vote Today!

Where do you stand?
The Dream Act is a bill written with the intention of allowing "illegals" who have been in this country for years, to obtain rights that are usually held only for this country's citizens.  This affects illegals under the age of 30, who were brought to this country by their parents before they were 16 years old.  They are required to fulfill at least 2 years of college or serve in our military--this gives them legal status in the United States.  The liberals claim that an "educated population" would be healthier for our economy.  What economy?  We already have nearly 10% unemployment (granted, some of that unemployment is BY CHOICE--we are now offering unemployment benefits for another 13 MONTHS--once this is exhausted, claimants may move into the national program--rather than state--wonderful, isn't it???  But that's another story!)   So, how do you feel about the dream act?  Another burden or a blessing to our battered, beloved country?  The following are links to more information, pro & con, for this bill.  I encourage you to get involved and let your state representatives know how you feel.

He Who Controls the Food--Controls the World Bill S510

Better Start Hiding Your SEEDS Now Folks!
Think you're hungry now?  Just wait until this bill goes through!

S 510 has already passed the senate and is heading for the House of Representatives.  S510 fails on moral, social, economic, political, constitutional, and human survival grounds.

1.  It puts all US food and all US farms under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, in the event of contamination or an ill-defined emergency (who decides what constitutes a real emergency?)
2.  It would end US sovereignty over its own food supply by insisting on compliance with the WTO, thus threatening national security.  It would end the Uruguay Round Agreement Act of 1994, which put US sovereignty and US law under perfect protection.  Instead, S 510 says:
COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS.
Nothing in this Act (or an amendment made by this Act) shall be construed in a manner inconsistent with the agreement establishing the World Trade Organization or any other treaty or international agreement to which the United States is a party.
3.  It would allow the government, under Maritime Law, to define the introduction of any food into commerce (even direct sales between individuals) as smuggling into “the United States.” Since under that law, the US is a corporate entity and not a location, “entry of food into the US” covers food produced anywhere within the land mass of this country and “entering into” it by virtue of being produced.  Say goodbye to "farmer's" markets!
4.  It imposes Codex Alimentarius on the US, a global system of control over food.
5.  It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US, putting control of seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other multinationals, threatening US security. See Seeds – How to criminalize them, for more details.
6.  It includes NAIS, an animal traceability program that threatens all small farmers and ranchers raising animals. The UN is participating through the WHO, FAO, WTO, and World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) in allowing mass slaughter of even heritage breeds of animals and without proof of disease.  Biodiversity in farm animals is being wiped out to substitute genetically engineered animals on which corporations hold patents.  Animal diseases can be falsely declared.  S 510 includes the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), despite its corrupt involvement in the H1N1 scandal, which is now said to have been concocted by the corporations.
Fresh food that lasts from eFoods Direct (Ad)
7.  It extends a failed and destructive HACCP to all food, thus threatening to do to all local food production and farming what HACCP did to meat production – put it in corporate hands and worsen food safety.
8.  It deconstructs what is left of the American economy. It takes agriculture and food, which are the cornerstone of all economies, out of the hands of the citizenry, and puts them under the total control of multinational corporations influencing the UN, WHO, FAO and WTO, with HHS, and CDC, acting as agents, with Homeland Security as the enforcer.  The chance to rebuild the economy based on farming, ranching, gardens, food production, natural health, and all the jobs, tools and connected occupations would be eliminated.
9.  It would allow the government to mandate antibiotics, hormones, slaughterhouse waste, pesticides and GMOs. This would industrialize every farm in the US, eliminate local organic farming, greatly increase global warming from increased use of oil-based products and long-distance delivery of foods, and make food even more unsafe.  The five items listed — the Five Pillars of Food Safety — are precisely the items in the food supply which are the primary source of its danger.
10. It uses food crimes as the entry into police state power and control. The bill postpones defining all the regulations to be imposed; postpones defining crimes to be punished, postpones defining penalties to be applied.  It removes fundamental constitutional protections from all citizens in the country, making them subject to a corporate tribunal with unlimited power and penalties, and without judicial review. It is (similar to C-6 in Canada) the end of Rule of Law in the U

So, if you want to raise a garden, go to the Farmer's Market, store seeds, or grow your own meat--better do it now before our blessed government turns the jobs over to the World Trade Organization and we have to get our gardening seeds from the Chinese!

How Much Are We Going To Take?

Brother's Kissing

With all those concerns about wasteful government spending I want to let you know about a new "art exhibit" at the Smithsonian--"Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture"--funded by your tax dollars.  This "art exhibit" promotes homosexuality, incest, and anti-Christianity.  How long are we going to allow artists to insult the things most precious to us, in the name of "enlightenment and diversity"?  If there were a video of *Allah* on the ground and covered with ants there would be world-wide outrage.  It is so PAST the time to take a stand.  I encourage you to write to your Congresssmen/Women and let them know we will not allow our tax dollars to be spent in such and insulting and despicable way.  DO IT TODAY!  BTW:  Please refer to my previous posting on communism--"I Think They've Been Very Successful . . ."  A few of their main goals (way back in the 60's) were:
  1. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
  2. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
  3. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
  4. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
  5.  Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of      artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
I must add here that it sickens me to post this photo with my blog entry.  But until you see it--you won't be compelled to stand against such filth.  Now DO IT!

I have also contacted the Smithsonian personally and complained about the exhibit.  They are recommending you send your complaints to the following email address:
npgnews@si.edu.  I told them I thought the letters "e.d.u." at the end of their address was a STRETCH!  E-mail them today!
