Proud For the First Time in Years!

They fought so hard!
The newly elected GOP Congress will make history today as they read the United States Constitution for the VERY FIRST TIME on the house floor.  "When was the last time the Constitution was read on the house floor?"  This was the question asked--and they discovered that the answer was N.E.V.E.R.  Since all representatives, when sworn in, take a sacred oath to UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION, this American thinks this is a great idea and long overdue!
Not everyone agrees!   Democratic Representative Jerrald Nadler of New York made the shocking statement that this is "total nonsense"--"propoganda".  Are you listening New York???  This man needs to be voted out of office!  This type of utter ARROGANCE and CONTEMPT for the laws that have governed our nation for over 200 years is exactly why Republicans are now controlling the house.  Citizens of New York take action--your freedoms depend on it!

  1. I think it should not only be read on the House Floor but should be read each and every time, just before the State of the Union address while everyone is there. It wouldn't take that long and could be done even before the televised address begins.

If it is just read on the House Floor, there is no guarantee that it won't be read at midnight or at a time when there is no one there to hear it.

  2. I don't know if they do this now, but the pledge of allegiance should also be done just before the State of the Union address. Lets see the old crotch salute then!
